I need to learn how to cook
I wonder if it will be offensive to ignore the food prepared for iftar and make my own. I seriously don't know how to cook and I'd like to learn but that means I can't serve whatever I make to the entire family. But also if I eat the food prepped then I won't have space to cook and eat my own food. I guess I will ask my mom her thoughts. Regardless this is the time ingredients will be in abundance and I need to take advantage of that.
I would like to learn how to incorporate more veggies into my meals but I really despise them. But I will try!! I'm sure there's some way I can stomach them. I also dislike almost all forms of meat now except like canned tuna which narrows my scope considerably but that also only leaves me with vegetable dishes so maybe it will work out.
I found a very simple potato cheese flatbread recipe. I think that will be my first go. Also I'd like to say I do know how to bake — very well at that, but cooking has never agreed with me. Now is the time to change that!!!
I'll keep this journal updated with my progress. I'm quite excited, even if I feel a little sick right now
